Every year Cradle organizes the Virtual Production Gathering. For the ’26 edition we are looking for a hands-on, Events Intern to join our creative team! We’re a small but ambitious R&D lab at the university, and every year we organize a conference. This year’s event is three days in April, with separate days for education, industry, and masterclasses. As a team of tech-focused specialists, we need support from someone who can help us transform this event into a professionally executed conference that reflects the quality of our content and community.

About Cradle

Cradle is the Research & Development lab of the Academy for AI, Games & Media at Breda University of Applied Sciences. At this lab, cutting-edge, innovative games and media applications are designed and developed through projects conducted on behalf of and befitting four professorships: Digital Media Concepts; Creative & Entertainment Games; Applied Games, Innovation & Society; and Applied Data Science & Artificial Intelligence. Most of the projects at Cradle involve external partners and are funded by secondary (e.g. national or EU research grants) and tertiary sources (project-based contracts). Cradle has a staff pool of experienced, tech-savvy researchers, lecturers, designers, and developers. It also offers internships, individual graduation projects, collaborative team projects, as well as support, facilities, and equipment to students, staff, and partners.  

What you will be doing

  • As an Events intern for VPG’26, you will support the organisation and production of a 3 day event on our campus. Your responsibilities will include:  
  • Assist in planning and coordinating the VPG, including an Education day, Industry day, Masterclasses, a Network dinner and a Mixer event. 
  • Help manage online communications with participants, organization, trainers, and stakeholders. 
  • Support the documentation and evaluation of the event.  
  • Collaborate on coordination and promotion activities.  
  • Assist with logistics for mobility activities.  
  • Creating/organizing engaging videos and visuals to showcase the event  
  • Managing the social media content plan

Your profile

  • You receive ECTS for doing an internship or a thesis assignment as part of your study program  
  • You are conducting a MBO or a bachelor, university of applied sciences (HBO) or a similar institution  
  • Preferred backgrounds include, but are not limited to: Media Management, Event Production, Arts Management, Creative Business, Film/TV Production, Digital Media, Communication, or related fields  
  • Basic graphic design skills (e.g., Canva, Illustrator) are a plus. 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail  
  • Excellent communication skills in English  
  • Ability to work in an international, multicultural environment  
  • You are available for at least 5-6 months. Start/end date is negotiable
